Again that was a song I had not heard before. I'm really liking it too.

Compare and contrast with the original. This was about 1970, so pre-Buckingham/Nicks line-up.

I’ll stick to listening to the original thanks. DP could’ve heavied that up good and proper but it sounds lifeless. The music video is dreadful too.

The video is solid. It would have been nice if they had made it a little heavier, but I think the covers are going to be pretty faithful to the originals just like the earlier "7 and 7 is".

I loved both versions. I continue to look forward to the album release - and I'll note that there was a dash of country in the guitar line on the DP version of the song.

Purple sure added their own swing to the song I see.

I have to say I like their version better...especially Steve's solo is fantastic...and I agree there is bit more of a country vibe in the Purple version...

But the original sounds good too. I do prefer Ian's vocals though (naturally) and the song does sound heavier to my ears...quite a bit heavier in fact.

It be here and I'm playing the preview on Amazon before I pull the trigger and buy it. I have to say, I tried "White Room" first because I was afraid Gillan would try to sing like Jack Bruce. He didn't and I'm glad for that because I'm not a fan of Jack Bruce's singing. :)

The horns on "Let the Good Times Roll" sound a little synthesized, not a fan of that. But I enjoyed all the other samples plus the two released videos, so I'm gonna go for it.
