Reminds me of a certain stretch of weeks in the AFL when nothing made sense... but in the end, they got it all sorted out properly.

Speaking of "sorted out properly", it's good to have KC back to where it was before. Welcome back to your mojo, Mr. Mahomes.

Aaron Rogers returned to the Packers... and it didn't mean much for the longest stretch of the game vs Seattle. Defense ruled the first half, with a 3-0 score in a game with both Rogers and Russell Wilson. Who knew defensive slugfests were a thing? But Rogers got his game on where Wilson failed and the Packers are getting back to form in Lambeau.

USA Football today...

How games *should* play out:

Ravens beat Bears
Packers beat Vikings
Bills beat Colts
Browns beat Lions
Panthers beat Washington
Titans beat Texans
49ers beat Jaguars
Dolphins beat Jets
Saints beat Eagles
Bengals beat Raiders
Cowboys have a close, fun game with the Chiefs
Cardinals beat Seahawks
Chargers beat Steelers
Bucs beat Giants (Monday Night)

Of those, I would not be surprised if the Raiders beat the Bengals or if the Steelers beat the Chargers. I wouldn't care if the Jets beat the Dolphins, the Jags beat the 49ers, or if the Lions get their first win against the Browns.

I'm rooting for the Cowboys and I want them to win, but since the Chiefs came out of their weak stretch, it's not a done deal. Win or lose, I'll be happy with the game if both teams put up a great fight on both sides of the ball. I don't want to see a blowout in this matchup. I'm looking for a great QB duel, but no spinning scoreboard because both teams also brought some D with them.

It was certainly the game for defense, rather low scoring and neither QB tossed a TD.

Indeed it was a defensive battle, and both defenses handed opportunities to their offenses - it's that the Chiefs got to capitalize on those a shade more than Dallas did. Both teams look tough coming out of that engagement, so the Raiders are in for it on Thursday, methinks.

I swear the Cowboys are the most frustrating team to support/follow :wall: Penalties cost them that game today against a team they should beat, even if missing 2 big offensive weapons and playing like shit!

On a 3 game losing streak now  :-X

166 yards in penalties, someone needs to call them out on that. It's not just sloppy playmaking that's costing them wins. It's out-and-out lack of discipline in constantly racking up penalties. Pass interference was granting life to failing Raiders drives and offensive holding was stifling encouraging moves down the field.

AND THE GUY WHO RAN OFFSIDES TO CHARGE THE KICKER OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD

Put him on Tom Brady's regimen, see  if it gets him ready to play again!

With the Omicron variant running wild through NFL teams, the league is testing less for the variant and teams are looking at practice squads to shore up depth issues.

Cowboys have their destiny in their own hands at the moment, currently sitting in the #2 spot in the NFC. Can’t see the Packers dropping a game from here though with their run home unless they get ravaged by COVID so clinching the #1 spot looks unlikely. Cowboys offense is still not firing on all cylinders like they were earlier in the season but the defense definitely is.

What a topsy-turvey season though, some teams that were genuine contenders have really fallen away in the last month while others whos seasons were on the brink have really turned it around.

I'm hoping that the Dallas offense gets running better, because they'll need that vs the Packers. The road to the Super Bowl goes through Lambeau Field, I'm thinking.

As it is, those are the ONLY TWO TEAMS that have clinched a slot in the playoffs! Three games to go in the season and only two clinches!

I'm guessing there will be more than one team that gets into the playoffs on a tiebreaker, this year. There's just such a pack of teams that can contend for the wildcard slots.

What a crazy end to the regular season.

Can’t believe the Colts fucked it up when only one win in the last 2 games against the 2 worst performing teams in the NFL was needed to be part of the post season.

The Raiders Chargers game was as nuts as I’ve seen. The fate of 3 teams came down to the last 2 seconds of the regular season. Herbert was unbelievable in the final 5 minutes of regular time.

The Cowboys have a very tricky matchup against the 49ers in the first week of the playoffs. Would’ve much preferred the Rams.

That Raiders game was I N S A N E !

Cowboys have to be the team that played last week and 2 weeks before that every week in the playoffs. This on again, off again style is going to drop them...

My picks for the Wild Card round:

Bengals beat the Raiders - Raiders cut things close, but the Bengals get the job done.

Bills beat the Patriots - The Bills have the better team this year, so they can win this one.

Bucs beat the Eagles - Three words: Tom Friggin' Brady.

Cowboys beat the 49ers - my biggest question mark this weekend. The Cowboys have lost to every team that's in the playoffs except the Eagles. I think they can get by the 49ers, and maybe also the Cards or the Rams, but I don't fancy their chances vs. the Tampa Bay Bradies or the Green Bay Aarons.

Chiefs beat the Steelers - Big Ben has his last hurrah in a playoff game, a fitting farewell. Mahomes will conduct the burial services.

Rams beat the Cardinals - I believe that the Rams are hot and the Cards are not, but the Cardinals could snap back and give a surprise.

Looks like I picked all the home teams to win this weekend, and I'm good with that.
