Well if you don’t give a rats arse then can you explain what triggered you about Nikki Sixx all of a sudden? My comment was up there for a few days.

Business dickwads and complicated people is a rather mild way of putting it btw.

That’s ok. Just wanted to be sure I didn’t rub you the wrong way with something I posted here all elsewhere on the forum.

Anyhow, I wonder which douche/dickwad/complicated person rockstar Klaus will come up with next  :whistling:

We can all have opions here. Even if they differ a bit...and even if you try to stir some comments out it doesn't mean it'll always work. ;)

For Blackmore, it's more than his business side. His "practical jokes" amounted to constant torture of people in and around him that he didn't like. At the end of his last tour with DP, he was sabotaging shows. While he and Ian Gillan were able to reconcile and put their differences behind them, Gillan nevertheless refuses to work with him again.

But, I can still enjoy his guitar work... it's complicated.

Ike Turner is harder to take for me. On my show, I just leave him out of announcing who's on the song. When I play Ike & Tina, I announce it as a Tina Turner recording.

Gillan can be an arrogant douche as well. He doesn’t have a lot of time for people so any wonder those 2 clashed but Ritchie is on a whole other level. Still love the dude though.

Oh yeah. Ritchie's a real piece of work there is no doubt about it. There's a reason why Ronnie didn't want to work with him and why Ian doesn't want to work with him anymore...nor Doogie White.

Ian however left his arrogance behind a long time ago. He had is bad days in the 80s with the Gillan band but after that he kind of learned his lesson so to speak. What happened with Purple that was pretty much all down to Ritchie being Ritchie...there was a reason why the rest of the band stood firm together and Ritchie went his way.

The other thing that sets Ritchie apart from most others is his total lack of respect towards his fans. That's always been the thing that has put me away. Cutting shows short, yelling to fans not coming back for encores just cause he doesn't "feel" the crowd and so on...Ritchie has always kind of had the "I'm so big of a star that I can do what ever I want" kind of vibe...

This is actually a pretty interesting topic of conversation but hardly suitable for this topic though...

Well, it goes to show that the Hall of Fame criteria are pretty much limited to overall popularity and influence, recorded output, and general musical skill. Personality, criminal record, and things like that are not considerations, it would seem.

I'm not familiar with HIM so I don't know if he is worthy or not!

Yeah! The other two should be there! :D

Well I personally hate HIM but they are the second most succesful band to ever come from Finland so I think it is (from a Finnish point of view) a worthy addition to the list.

My mind is going down odd rabbit holes this morning, I let the F in Freddie Mercury linger too long and got Fozzie Osbourne out of that.

Well there is a band called Fozzy out there! :D

This week we're getting another Finnish legend this time TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN of Nightwish. He is a musical genius so this is rather well deserved and expected induction.

Yeah...I really like them as well. Sure their last two albums have been a far cry from the ones that came before but I still think Imaginaerum is the best symphonic metal album ever made.
