Make sure you get a proper professional to install the panels though.

Some not so kosher companies have been selling those solar panels around here and using sub contractors to install them who don't know (or don't care) what they're doing and houses have been burned to the ground as a result. Another incident like that just occured this week. And the crazy part is they're charging an arm and a leg to do the install and then totally half ass it. With little to no insulation and one rainy day and boom! There goes the neighbourhood up in flames.

The truth with these solar panels however is that unless you have an electric (or hybrid) car that you charge at home those panels will NEVER pay you back. If you're lucky they will last for 15 years and you might just break even...but most likely they won't last that long...and they will start to lose effectiveness rather quickly in reality as well.

The technology has come a long way in the last few years but it isn't quite there yet...well not here anyways where most of the year they are totally useless...due to long long nights and dark cloudy days.

Texas the weather might be much more suitable though...so there you might be able actually get some use out of them for most of the year...and days are more evenly long as well...which works in their favour...

These vendors I'm checking out are on the level and have 25-year guarantees on the panels. And, yes, with 200+ sunny days per year, we're in the sun belt of the USA. Prime solar location, right up there with Arizona and New Mexico. :D

With the government/utility subsidy, they become much better on their return on investment.

The new collaboration between Egard and the living legend William Shatner has gone live and I was lucky enough to be among the first 20 to pledge.

The watch is really cool looking and it contains some actual meteor dust on the dial as well.

I have the first Passages watch and it's one of my most valued possessions so this well fit nicely with that one.

Not been around much the last few days, not been well and spent 4 days in hospital with cellulitis in a leg! Back at home now munching my way through anti-biotics.

I hope that you heal quickly Kilo.

I know of a lot of people that have been sick these past few months.

Well I was out cutting some trees that a recent little storm brought down and managed to (once again) hurt my back pretty bad. Again from below the shoulder blades...hurts like a motherfucker every time I breathe heavily! Second time this happens this year. I'm assuming something is off somewhere in that area...might be that the last time I pulled it it never really healed up and thus pulled again...

Well taking few painkillers and later a beer or three...luckily I don't have to go to work tonight.

Old injuries can haunt a body! I have an elbow injury from 2021 that sometimes locks my joint there and I can't fully extend it when I'm carrying a load. To set the load down, I either have to bend and kneel or transfer it to the other hand.
