I also went to the doctor the past week and got yet some more sick leave for this blasted tennis elbow...

It is getting better but the doctor said it would be smart to play it safe and give it some more rest...so another 10 days off then.

I hope that you'll get it a good rest so it comes back better. I get a mess in my right hand/arm from time to time. Mostly when a new game releases and I'm clicking the hell out of it. Civ 7 just released, as it happens.

I have an elbow sleeve with metal wire supports (very small wires, very comfy sleeve), an elbow band that puts pressure on the muscle just past the elbow, heading towards the hand, and a hand sleeve with wrist velcro so I can apply pressure there. I wear that for a few days, and the pain of overclicking goes away.

Well, I went to a beer festival today, while heding for the bus home I managed to trip over ... alcohol consumption may have had a part to play in that... the right thigh is now very tender, while I'm not convinced I've broken my thigh I suspect I've done something which may need some R&R to get over it!

There's beer festivals!? Well goddamn! If I'd be an out going person that'd be a festival I'd like to go! Even with a chance of an injury! ;D

Hope you didn't break anything KDC!

Sorry that happened; hope you recover fully asap.  I once fell down after attending a Beer/Alcohol Fest. due to a combination of alcohol consumption and fatigue/tiredness.  Not a good experience.

I've been to more than 100 Beer Fests; I've been attending them since 2007.  I've had so many awesome experiences at them.

Wow....okay I've never even heard of a beer festival prior to this....not counting October Fest obviously...
Seems I've been missing out...or should I say Finland has been missing out...but then again we practically still have prohibition!

I've been going to them since the mid-90s, I only do 1 a year at the moment down on the 2-3 on previous years. The best one stopped because of COVID and hasn't restarted since. :(

@Charger, have you googled them? You might be surprised and find you do have them near you.

Oh, and the leg is much better... definitely not broken!!

Whew, good deal!

And yeah, around here beer fests are pretty common. I haven't been to one in several years but used to go a few times a year. Good places to try fresh draws of interesting brews.

Hmm...so I did do some googling...

There isn't a major beer festival in Finland but there are a few smaller ones that are hosted by a group of small independent breweries...I could find one in Helsinki and one in Vaasa which also had a small international element to it.

So there have been some...but just no fuss made about them...mainly probably because alchol advertising is forbidden in Finland.

Alcohol is advertised in the USA like it is one of the food groups required for a healthy life.

Vyn and I could run ya ragged with all the beer commercial jingles and tag lines we've memorized over the years.

Had LOTS going on in the last three days, culminating in my wife heading to a business conference yesterday, with me providing much taxi service over those days, among other things. She comes back on Thursday, and I'll be happy for that. For some reason, I can sleep in hotel beds just fine on my own, but when she's out, I have a terrible time falling asleep in my own bed on maybe half the nights she's out. Darndest thing.

Looks like I need to find some critter and plant videos for the thread to catch up on. :smug:

I can relate to your sleeping idiosyncrasy, except I never sleep worth a crap in hotel beds.
