"Image Not Found or Was Removed" sounds like an indie title...

My wife and kids saw Infinity War and really enjoyed it. I'm not a MCU fan, but they are. There was one thing that disappointed her, but I can't go into it without having a massive spoiler alert about the ending.

DOCTOR STRANGE

The mystical realm of the Marvel Universe is finally revealed when Doctor Stephen Strange gets his own movie.

Dr. Strange is a surgeon of great talent and ego but when he gets into a car crash and loses the ability to preform surgeries he turns to an ancient and mystical place called Kamar Taj for healing but quickly learns there is much more to it than just restoring the use of his hands. The leader of Kamar Taj, the Ancient One, a powerful mystic and sorcerer shows him the way to help and save people outside of medicine. Quickly Strange is pulled into a fight between our universe and the dark universe which with it's followers lead by the powerful Kaecillus try to unleash upon our existence.

Visually this is probably the most stunning Marvel movie yet. The mirror universe fight in New York is by far the most beautiful and strangest (pun intented) thing we've seen in Marvel movies yet. Same goes for Strange's voyage to the Dark Universe where he meets Dormammu the destroyer of worlds.
This is also a bit darker and bit more serious than the other movies but there is just enough humor to carry it through and not make it too serious.

The cast is great once again. I had my doubts about Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead but in fact his arrogance and egotistical way of acting is just what this character needed, yet another perfect lead casting for Marvel. Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecillus was wonderful, he is a fantastic bad guy actor, he has such incredible presence. I also pondered how Tilda Swinton would preform as the Ancient One as she most certainly doesn't have the pedigree for a role like this but truth be told she was brilliant as well. Same goes for Chiwetel Ejiofor who has played bad guys before but here he was the side kick although the final post credit scene would indicate something different in his future. Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer dr. Strange's past love interest provided nice back story.

After a slightly slow and relatively dark beginning the story picked up fast and soon a new true Marvel hero was born...the quality of the Marvel universe movies never ceases to amaze me...time after time, movie after movie, hero after hero. The best part of it is all of them are flawed one way or another and that brings something to identify with no matter how mystical their powers or abilities may be...or how egotistical they might be...they, like all people, grow and learn and improve..both as heroes and as people. None more than Doctor Strange...I cannot wait to see more of him...in and beyond the Infinity War.

Watched Avengers: Infinity War last night and thought it was outstanding. Great balance of action, comedy and emotion with some truly epic fight scenes and amazing visual effects. Thanos is the best villain of any MCU movie.

Great review , Charg  :pub:
Absolutely 100% agree. Certainly the less oriented teen MCU movie . Its mystical side brings something unusual ,a more adult sensitivity.  I enjoyed it a lot.
And this  premium cast : Benedict Cumberbatch IS Dr Strange. Big fan of Tilda Swinton here. As for Mads Mikkelsen, nothing can be wrong with him.

Thanks bud! I agree...this might very well be the most "adult" one of the Marvel movies...

Though campier than Sean Connery usually is the movie is fun if a bit of a mess.

I've seen some rubbish in the last couple of weeks, Life of the Party and Sherlock Gnomes really are not very good and I didn't have high expectations when I saw them. The only other film I've since since Avengers: Infinity War is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society which whilst not rubbish is far from a good film but does at least have Lily James in it which is always a plus.

Life of the Party (Melissa McCarthy at her worst) 3/10
Sherlock Gnomes (inoffensive and really not aimed at adults) 5/10
Guernsey Literary... (some good acting but a little generic) 6/10

I love this classic. A stunning Tom Hanks accompanied by a wonderful score for an unique movie.

We saw Deadpool 2 this afternoon. And while it is fun and pretty much what you would expect, it lacks a little something compared with the first film. It might just be that they have a larger budget and felt the effects were more important than the story, or maybe the character just isn't a surprise any more and the character development didn't help. Either way it is not a dissapoint, it is still a good film but where as the first one was a 10/10 this one is an 8.5/10.
