You are worrying me !!  ;D

:D

I have to say when I saw her as Galadriel I nearly puked...worst...choice...EVER.

But hey atleast we can agree that Gillian is hot. ;)

^^ Well, I think that her unusual beauty matches perfectly to his role. Enigmatic, both full of power but also of doubt. remember the mirror of truth.
Matter of taste, like every time !!
A very beautiful and indisputable woman like Liv Tyler would have been out of place.

Just a quick question...

I remember the comic book epic featuring Thanos and the Glove of Power(?) taking place while I was in school.
I am excited to see how they translated that awesome comic saga onto the big screen.

8/10
I watched this for the first time in years and I still like it and think it has stood the test of time. Stallone was exceptional I thought and the rest of the cast is solid or at times even great.

very good movie and great acting of Stallone, indeed.  :pub:
If I remember well, Ray Liotta played a character rotten as hell as possible ..... like always !!

So far this week I've seen the remake of Death Wish with Bruce Willis and video game adaptation Rampage with Dwayne Johnson.

Death Wish is a solid revenge/action film remake (I don't really remember the original), it works well, suitably violent and grisly... but when did Willis start acting like a robot? It's been a few years now and it's always the same emotionless character (which actually works ok for this film!) 7/10

Rampage is completely stupid... there, I've said it, it is bonkers, and an absolute blast! 8/10

Somewhere between Die Hard II and III? :) Not that it's bad movies, but he have kinda been doing the same role since then...

As long as that? I knew it had been a while, and yes it doesn't mean the films are bad but it really does limit the roles he can do.

Nevertheless some very good movies . He shows another acting register with Death Becomes Her, Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, The 6th sense, Unbreakable.

Yeah, was thinking about mentioning that one. It's still surreal to see him with hair... :P

Pulp Fiction; fantastic film, perfect role, but not too different from the typical roles he's been having. (one of) The genius thing(s) Tarantino did with that movie was finding the right actors for every role, right down to the small(er) parts of Chris Walken, Harvey Keitel Tim Roth and Eric Stoltz.

And, yeah, 6th Sense is one where's he's really breaking out of that typecast into an alot more emotional character.

I have not seen this remake, but if you are able to, you should re-see the original Death Wish.  Bronson is excellent, not as a heavy, but as an average working Joe.  And the film is believable, although it is fiction, with IMO a great ending.  Set in New York City and shot on location.  9/10

I was hoping to watch it before I saw the remake but I just didn;t get around to it. It's on the rental list.

I was kinda looking forward to the Death Wish remake but Bruce Willis curbs my enthusiasm for it. Pulp Fiction was his best performance and movie but he's mostly shit in everything else.

He's always been a B grade actor that's been given A grade roles.
