It is a good one, Thel.  Have you seen it?

No - unfortunately I have seen very few of Vincent Price's movies. What I have seen I have loved especially one I saw when I was young that was a Poe adaption as well. Cannot remeber the name for some reason.

Cask of Amontillado, perhaps?

It was this one I believe. I remember really enjoying it.

I own that one as well.  Too bad we don't live in closer proximity, Thel. :(  You could borrow a dvd to view and then enlighten me with your expertise on weed.  :P

THOR RAGNAROK

The third Thor movie gave us more of the legend of Asgard and ofcourse some top notch action and great humor.

Passing of Asgard's king Odin paved the way for the return of his first born, the goddess of death Hela who is set out to avenge her fate and claim her throne of Asgard. Thor and his brother Loki are forced to fight an enemy they don't know how to beat. But with help of some new allies they stand up and fight for the fate of the Asgardian people.

In the heat of battle Thor and Loki are thrown into a world ruled by the Grand Master played by the absolutely brilliant Jeff Goldblum and Thor must fight an old friend in a gladiator like games. Needless to say friendship won...in the end.

The cast was once again pretty flawless. Hemsworth and Hiddleston both shined again and Mark Ruffalo proved again why he IS Hulk! Tessa Thompson as the Valkyrie was a great addition to the main cast.  Karl Urban went through a lot of phases in this and did a great job. Anthony Hopkins eventhough his role was a rather small one here did take his scenes well again as usual.
And then to the big surprise...Cate "always hideous" Blanchett was actually a rather good choice for Hela...it's not like the Goddess of death is suppose to be attractive anyways! So she actually fit the part quite well...I just wish she would have even bothered doing some of her stunts though...but I know she being the diva that she is is above all that. Would I have preferred someone else, absolutely but as it is she wasn't as bad as I expected.
The one thing I did not expect was Dr. Strange's involvement. That was a nice addition. I haven't seen Dr. Strange but this made me want to for sure!

As said the action was top notch and the timing between the action and the humor was flawless...even more so than on some earlier Marvel movies. There were some true laugh out loud moments again that really uplifted the storytelling. These aren't the kind of movies that are meant to be taken seriously and when it works...well...it just works. Marvel has gotten the idea.

The thing is Marvel just keeps upping the ante with every movie....and knowing what's coming next...well...oh myyyyy.

Fair enough, but i actually like my cultural herritage. When Stan Lee claimed that Mjølner was just a nonsensical name his brother made up i lost all respect for him...

 that would be cool!! Would love to smoke some BC wonder weed and maybe a few brews with you my friend!!  :pub:

I would probably be continuously borrowing your  Hammer Film Productions DVDs as I am a big fan of the very few I have seen.

I have to agree with both sides here. It's a weird thing, but sometimes she's beautiful, other times she's damn ugly. Much like Renée Zellweger, really...
