but ... Hey , you can't rate the atrocious Venom, the boring Ant-Man  above Deadpool 1/2 and Spider-Man 1/2 !?!  8)

Thanks bud! But yes I easily can do just that! :D

I quite enjoyed Venom indeed but the term atrocious works for Deadpool quite well...too juvinile for my taste. AntMan was bit on the boring side but the humor was good and Paul Rudd was a good choice for the lead.

As for Spiderman, not only is Spiderman my all time least favourite Marvel superhero but those Raimi movies were bad and don't even get me started on Toby...good lord that is still something that should be a lecture in how NOT to cast in a casting school (if there is one...)... :D

.... apparently, you have not seen Spider-Man yet: Homecoming yet with this young teen as SM.

anyway , i assume we could be agree that Four Fantastics movies are clearly the worst Marvel movies !

No I have not...and yes that is on my list along with Black Panther.

The first Fantastic Four way back when before Marvel Studios was okay...but ofcourse was nothing compared to the stuff that started with Iron Man....didn't even bother with the remake as all the trailers already looked horrible and the cast was a joke!

Friday was Wes Anderson's Rushmore. Great film, beautiful finish. Excellent coming of age story.

Tonight was Netflix' The Highwaymen. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson do an amazing job in their roles as the Texas Rangers that brought down Bonnie and Clyde. They are not made out to be angels, by any stretch of the term. They're cold-blooded, just like Bonnie and Clyde, but they do their killing for the law, not against it.

Saw a review of that on a magazine the other day and thought that might be a good one...I just hope it'll get a bluray release soon too cause I'd love to see it.

Seven close friends reunite for the wedding of two of their friends. Problems arise because the bride and the maid of honor have had a long rivalry over the groom. 6/10

Very well done and a great watch  :drama: 8/10

100% agree ! saw it few weeks ago too. this movie is one the best of the neo-western genre with The Homesman  by and with Tommy Lee Jones.

I really enjoyed True Grit, and like you said it is one of the best of the modern Westerns.

An offbeat romantic comedy about a woman who doesn't believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her. 6.5/10

I love this movie .
the intro scene in the Vosges farm with Christoph Waltz as well as the bar with the cream pie, always with Waltz and Mélanie Laurent are incredibly well done.
this one in the cave bar is just unbelievable too.

It would be worth it. And if Costner and Harrelson weren't enough, there's a great role for Cathy Bates as "Ma" Ferguson, the then-Governor of Texas.

Speaking of Netflix, I just finished "Sarajevo." That film takes the death of Archduke Ferdinand and spins it with further conspiracy. I felt that such a spin was a reach. Austria was ready for *any* excuse to go to war with Serbia, and that one happened to land in their lap. Even so, Sarajevo is a great period piece, intense acting, and has some excellent light and dark camera work that reminds one of how Orson Welles ran his cameras.

Comedy about a mob family in witness protection.  Implausible satire, did not work for me. 4/10

Agree. this movie misses its target despite the presence of De Niro and Pfeiffer.
the scene of meeting with the neighbors around a barbecue is absolutely not in the French habits.
A dispensable film.
