'Electric Circus' complete show surfaces.

So this show was known for having 'Sleeping Village' with a second verse, a very long version of 'Warning' and another instance of Sabbath covering 'Blue Coat Man'. The full show has now surfaced, having been made available on a bootleg CD. Hopefully this is a sign that it soon won't be confined to hoarders.

Behind The Wall Of Sleep
N.I.B.
Black Sabbath (with extra verse)
Sleeping Village (with extra verse)
Warning
Fairies Wear Boots
Walpurgis
Blue Coat Man (Eddie Boyd cover)

From some of Ozzy's dialogue, it sounds like they maybe played two sets.

Had to look up "Blue Coat Man". That's a fun track from Eddy Boyd:

Beautiful guitar work on that track, I can see why it was an inspiration for Tony Iommi.

I'll had to go to that last track on this set to hear the Sabs' version of the track. Sped way up, but in that happy little key the original was in. And, yes, Iommi's taking that excuse to jam and running far and fast with it. Some really smooth guitar work, a fitting tribute to Eddy Boyd's playing.

Thanks for the post, Scott, I had a fun time with it!

You're both very welcome!

'Blue Coat Man' also appears on Dumfries '69, for years people (including the taper) thought it was called 'Blue Blood(ed) Man' so it might have taken a while to make the association with Eddie Boyd.

Edit: over on Dimeadozen, Linda confirmed that this particular bootleg CD is lossy-sourced, so we might be waiting a while for something decent-sounding. At least it's out there in some form.

I know I'm a little late to the party, and I'm sorry for dredging up an old thread, but I have never heard of this. MAN, that was a long version of Warning all right but cool none the less. And I can see why those extra verses never made it to the album. Thank you Scott.
