Tom Hardy for sure (nothing against Cavill mind). I do think it will be a relative new comer, I think they talk of Idris Elba but he's too old now and could only be a stop gap for at most 2 outings. Personally I think if they want to go down the black route then Daniel Kaluuya (Sicario, Get Out, Black Panther, Judas and the Black Messiah) would be my choice.

Only because I think Goodfellas is so much better than the Godfather films, I would look for a remake of the Godfather in the hope that they would be a little less drab (but they had their moments for sure).
