Yeah I noticed that news too...

Not cool. Not cool at all.

I can understand that they are into some very hard times this year but still. Also I think techincally that's a contract infringement and the customers would have the right to sue.

I also think these ticketing agents and promoters are postponing instead of cancelling to hold people’s money and make interest off the millions they’re holding.

Seems they’ve caved in to the backlash and done a back flip and will now offer full refunds on postponed shows. Fans will have a 30 day window to request a refund, after that their ticket will have to be used for rescheduled shows.

I've always disliked Ticketmaster's business model. They seem to try and screw over fans like record labels try and screw over artists. The prices for performance tickets in general are insanely high as it is. Having to be a lawyer to figure out what your rights are regarding your ticket purchase is asinine to me.

Buy ticket to see SuperRockGroup. Show up at scheduled time and place, show your ticket, go in and rock.

You decide you don't want to see SuperRockGroup for whatever reason, return ticket and get money back.

SuperRockGroup delays/cancels/no-shows the concert, get your money back automatically. Purchase new ticket if/when SuperRockGroup reschedules.

The fuck?

Back in the day, that's how we did it. Tickets on sale at the venue and all Sears ticket outlets. Go in, drop your money that you earned from mowing lawns, and you still had enough to buy the latest record, a program, a t-shirt, and a snack at the arena for the show.

And then in swooped Ticketmaster to make sure it did all the scalping up front...
