I recall Josh Gates was looking for the Tiger at one point...I think he didn't find one and concluded that it is highly unlikely that one would still be alive.

No it was not, that is the only Bigfoot footage that has never been proven a hoax, you can clearly see the Sasquatch is a female with pendulous breasts, and anthropology experts have sad that way it moves and turns around is exactly the same way a primate would turn around and walk.

Yeah that's probably the most famous piece of footage of a bigfoot or sasquatch there's ever been.

To me that has always looked like just a guy in a monkey suit. The walk is waaaaay too human like compared to a gorilla for example.

There is bit too much lore and tales of the bigfoot to out right dismiss it's existence all together. HOWEVER are there some out there now...? that's a bit of a question mark.
I believe that hundreds of years ago a species like that might have existed and the native american tales came out of that. Perhaps some sort of a large ape, it is more than possible. But it might have died of extinction long ago. Leaving just the tales.
That's been my take on the issue atleast. Is it possible there still are some left? Possible...yes...likely....no.

This is an interesting topic all together though. I love cryptozoology...and everything that goes with it. Perhaps we need a full on topic for this....

Charger have you seen the detailed documentary about that footage where with today’s technology they do an upclose scene where you can see the animals individual muscles twitch and move, you couldn’t fake that back then.

I believe it.

I believe it.

I believe I did watch that (or something of the sort) from youtube last year. Me and couple of buddies are really into this kind of stuff so we check this stuff out every time we get together...which is rarely but still.

The thing is with enhancing the shit out of some old footage is that you can only do it up to a point before it becomes waaay too blurry and fuzzy. And when you go past that point and the footage is still clear enough to make out some muscles of a thing tens of feet away it you have to look at it from a very skeptical view. Real video enhancement doesn't work like it does on movies and tv shows...sadly.
Even NASA enhancement software's aren't that good. And besides the problem with that is that computer has to make guesses about what it on the footage. So it actually creates new while enhancing. So again it is not the same footage anymore. It is an educated guess of what the footage might be made by a computer software.

So are the actual muscles shown on the footage. No absolutely not. It's not possible from a footage of that quality. And you can use enhancement to recreate stuff like that, and it wouldn't be an actual fake as it could be just called a proximate guess work by the software.

That all being said, it is possible that the footage is real, but I highly doubt that. There is a spring on the "creature's" step that just isn't realistic at all...it is waaay too human trait. But that is just my view.

Oh that's fine! I believe in lots of stuff too! :)

And like I said I very much believe that Bigfoot is a real creature or that atleast it was.

In most myths there is a seed of truth...there has to be.

Yeti is another interesting thing. There are a lot of similarities between that and Bigfoot. Might even be the same species. It wouldn't be impossible to consider that it too along with many other species (including humans) travelled through the Bering straight to North America thousands of years ago. It just evolved living in a warmer climate as opposed to the Himalayas.

The Yeti is the same creature just different name different part of the world, just like the Yowie in Oceana and Almas in your part of the world.

I'm always happy to suspend any disbelief I have regarding Bigfoot/Yeti if it means I get to hear Brian Blessed talk about it.

He hasn't seen one, but he's sure they're out there, and I'm willing to go along for the investigatory ride. I've got friends of friends who claim to have had encounters with such giants, so I'm not ready to dismiss every report of a Bigfoot/Yeti as a hoax. Hoaxes are out there, but that's just a sad comment on how some people do irresponsible things.

Do you believe in Bigfoot Z?

The Yeti is from the Himalayas, aka abominable snowman.

I think that there's some strange stuff in the wild and that it would be arrogant to dismiss the very thought of such things as Bigfoot/Yeti/Almas out of hand just because some people can't conceive of such things. We have to take a "we need more evidence for a conclusive view" approach and be open-minded about what we are able to find.

For a parallel, look at Central and South American archaeology. Every year or so, something that gives us a radically new type of information is found in a part of the jungles there that we hadn't been to previously. Finding Incan architecture in the Amazonian lowlands, for example. *That* wasn't supposed to have happened, but there it was...

I don't think we have anything conclusive like a place where we can repeatedly find them congregating and there's the question of what becomes of their body waste - where does it go? What paths or tracks do they follow? How do they interact with other species? Knowing that information can help to pinpoint/discover, if they're out there.

If, for example, we had a stool sample from a Bigfoot, we'd know its diet very soon, and that would teach us where next to look.
