It's unclear if this is on the new album or not.

Most likely just a song. They’ve been friends for years so not surprised. I’m sure the honour is all Elton’s though.

Ozzy’s collaboration with Post Malone and his songwriters and now Elton John does seem like a last ditch attempt for an ageing Ozzy to stay relevant and become relevant to the younger generation. Sharon has been a mastermind at keeping Ozzy invigorated and relevant all the way back to when she rescued him from that West Hollywood hotel room in 1979. You gotta hand it to her.

Just found out the collaboration is actually the title track from the upcoming album: Ordinary Man

I like that more than the other two new songs I've heard so far.

Sounds like there's less autotune on the vocals. There's still some in there, but I like where the age comes through in the voices. Musically, it's yet another ballad, hard to get excited about yet another ballad with a predictable chord structure and guitar solo or two. It could do with a hook or something in there to differentiate it from "November Rain" or any of a million other yet another ballads.

Only one word comes to mind when listening to that:

MEH

I think that's the right word. :smug:

I went to look up another example of an old voice doing golden work, found this:

That's how I want my old men to sing ballads.  Great song, it's got a riff/chorus that catches the mind, and nobody's afraid of the reaper on this one, raw and emotional.

Not bad, but Elton John only sings a few words, I thought it was suppose to be like a duet or something?

I noticed that as well. Elton's contribution is more as a guest artist, not a duet-ist.

He plays piano too doesn’t he? Ballad Duet’s are much better between a man and a woman. I like this song.

Actually, I'm thinking I'd like to hear a duet with Ozzy and Dave Mustaine.

Please explain

I think their vocal styles would be complimentary. I was watching Mustaine's duet on A Tout Le Monde and thought Ozzy might be able to have a go at the high part. And the song itself is a proper duet, not just blokes trading verses.

Didn’t Sir Elton, just sing one line?
