Classic Rocks 50 Best Rock Albums of the 2010s

Just seen this article, their definition of "rock" is quite broad, but it's an interesting mix.

No.1 is Clockwork Angels by Rush which I'm fine with. Sabbath's 13 is at 13 (they say it is just a coincident... but I'm not so sure! )

Seeing Ozzy's Scream at #44 already pretty much makes it lose credibility. Nor should 13 ever NEVER be that high.

Also no Deep Purple, no Megadeth no Anthrax no Candlemass...

A whole heep of soft pop/rock there like Foo Fighters and Rammstein and a bunch of bands I haven't even heard of...Silly silly list.


I'd make my own top 10 albums of the decade list but knowing how you all react to my reviews and lists I won't... Even the dumb one learns his lessons after few times!

Any list is going to reflect the limited experience and exposure of the people making the list. If the list-makers are also trying to sell ads, then that's another bias on the list.

If I look back on albums from the last decade that I like to play over and over and over again, I'll be missing albums that others here consider as favorites and will have stuff that folks here haven't heard of or outright dislike. (Dare I mention Glenn Hughes? )

And the whole obsession with *ranking*... How about a pile of albums that we can recommend and let folks sift through it on their own? Nope, we gotta rank stuff because rankings are rankings and they sell ads.
