Processed the pic I took of yesterday's Dio-fest. Or, at least, playing HD :)

This actually has a bit of import beyond simply the anniversary of the record. I broke down and bought a new turntable, which I am going to setup later today, and figured I'd send this one off with a solid bit of heavy metal. That record itself has been in several pictures over the years...from the time I bought it in '83 to yesterday, so that's kind of cool to me.

A couple of the people who are in some of the older pictures are no longer with us, so that makes it more poignant.

Even with the lack of bass this album is a killer with very little filler.

I actually liked that record when it came out more than I do now. Usually it's the other way around for me lol. I think it had a lot to do with being stoked for the new Sabs release, and coming off of the monster that was Sabotage, it never occurred to me that they had pretty much lost the plot by that point. I recall looking forward to Never Say Die!, especially the buzz around it and the name. I figured they realized they almost stepped in it, got that out of their system, and were now back to form. Haha, nope, they went out left field and kept on truckin' until they fell in the ocean.

But I do agree with KDC that Technical Ecstasy had some sparks in it. But Sabotage, Part II it was not.
