I've seen two of the Star Wars movies. I saw Star Wars at the theater when it came out, and did the same with The Empire Strikes Back.

Did not see Return of the Jedi, and I don't even know the names or sequences of the newer movies. How many are there now, eight or nine?

“Desperate Housewives” actress Felicity Huffman received her sentence in the college admissions scandal today.  Judge Indira Talwani sentenced Huffman to 14 days in jail. The actress has also been ordered to pay a $30,000 fine, be on a supervised release for a year, and perform 250 hours of community service.

Huffman was one of a handful of parents accused by prosecutors for using illegal means to help her child get into college. “Full House” star Lori Loughlin was also charged in the case.

While Loughlin chose to fight her charges, Huffman pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges for paying $15,000 to up the score on her daughter’s SAT score.

Why didn't she just use the money for private tutors?

I know... seems like a crazy thing to do, paying someone to fix answers on an SAT... and it's not like a tutor even costs that much.

While it is really clumsy, what they did was actually intelligent. By completing the race they automatically qualify for the Tokyo Olympics next year... it probably kept them out of the cat food factory!

The Irish sense of humor

Irishman Shay Bradley, a Defense Forces veteran, was intent on ensuring that those who gathered to bid him a final farewell left with a smile on their faces.

Bradley pulled a memorable prank on family and loved ones when a pre-recorded message was played at his funeral in Dublin — Bradley’s daughter said that it was his dying wish to have it played.

In the message, Bradley can be heard calling out as if he was stuck in his coffin.

“Hello, hello – let me out!” he shouts in the recording, which included the sound of him knocking on the coffin lid.  “Let me out! It’s f—ing dark in here,” Bradley continues, as mourners begin cracking up in laughter.

The daughter, Andrea Bradly, shared a video of the prank on Facebook.

“Always the pranksters, ya got them good Poppabear and gave us all a laugh just when we needed it!! I will love you forever,” read the video caption.  The hashtag #Shayslastlaugh was included.

The video has been viewed over a million times and Andrea left a heartfelt message, explaining how her father, who she called a “legend,” would have been overjoyed at the response.
