To make matters worse, the media swallowed his story hook, line and sinker, despite there being a laundry list of things in his story that did not make sense from the get go.  They can't resist a chance to target Trump supporters as being racist.

Quite true indeed. I think he probably counted on the media's biased view to pull it off. CNN was all over this like a dung beetle on a pile of shit. But then again CNN isn't news it is just a left wing propaganda machine..

Wow, amazing that you guys can detect all the bias in CNN but somehow don't see the echo chamber over at Fox news...

For the record, CBS was calling BS on the story pretty early on. Pretty sure "Black Trump supporters" were what got them to start asking questions.

Speaking of "other stupidities", CBS also did a good job of calling BS on another guy that cried wolf.

That whole thing about the border wall being an emergency situation? Yeah, Trump is dead wrong on that. He's just as much of a manipulative liar as that Smollett guy. Difference is, Smollett can get fired and go to jail for his nonsense. Trump can't get prosecuted until he leaves office.

I have never questioned Fox's bias..never. But honestly CNN is on a whole different level nowadays...and the problem is that lot of media here takes CNN news as truth, where as they quite often are not...or atleast just show a very one sided twisted view of things.

CBS has still had some integrity I think...their reports have actually been pretty objective from what I've gathered.
