Not sure if you guys are into Tool at all? Never was a huge fan but I like them enough I guess. Curious about this album since it has been what 13 years in the making? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7DfQMPmJRI

I've never really gotten into Tool myself. I do have 10000 Days but I haven't even listened to it in over 10 years I think.

They are one of those bands that is bit hard to categorize...they aren't metal that's for sure but is it rock or hard rock or progressive rock...I don't know.

Their song lengths sure put them into the prog category...very over bloated songs.

I got into Tool when Ænima came out which I really liked for how different and heavy they sounded. I subsequently bought the follow up Lateralus which was pretty much the same but I found not quite as good. Didn't bother buying 10,000 days after listening to it. I suppose I just got bored of their sound. First 3 albums is all you need.

New album is not so good a couple cool moments but way to aimlessly stretched out in a lot of places. I do like Chocolate Chip Trip though. Drummer is a beast on that song! If you are a Tool fan you will certainly like it though.
