Great days cricket for Australia. Two century makers and a couple of cameo's from the tail have put this test match out of England's reach and given Australia are genuine chance of winning which is remarkable given they were 122/8 on the first day. I'm sure a lot of English are praying for rain now.

The 2nd test has finally started after the 1st day was washed out by the weather.

England are batting and a couple of early wickets for the Aussies put them on top, but England have since steadied the ship... I hope!

Yep was a surprising decision by the Aussies to bowl first. Pitch and conditions probably not doing enough to justify that decision now in hindsight.

At least they've got England's best batsman out and if they can break this current partnership I have confidence they can get through England's middle order.

A poor performance by England in the first innings - 258 All out - almost everyone got a start but no one really took it forward.

Australia lose an early wicket in reply but it's too early to get optimistic!.

The 3rd day was largely ruined by rain again. In what action did take place Australia had a mini-collapse and ended the day on 80-4... sadly Smith is still there. ;)

Game is heading towards a draw unless England can rip through the Aussies this morning and have 100-150 first innings lead and hope the rain doesn't interrupt too much play.

No early wickets for England, so my guess is a draw... unless the Aussies go on to score 400 and then bowl England out cheaply... it's not like that ever happens! :)

^I think England would be more than happy with a draw given if they went 2-0 down in the series they'd have to win the last 3 tests to win the ashes
