Such a beautiful legendary building...so sad to see it go up in flames like that...

They were doing some heavy renovations so most likely something caught on fire during the work they were doing and up it went....

I read somewhere they were doing some welding and most likely a welding spark ignited one of the huge roof beams and that was all folks from that point on.

I am expecting that it was rather unfortunate event that happened on some poor guy on his last day of work...

Tyr what do you think of Varg Virkenes, who lives in your country? He’s even talking a lot of shit about the Cathedral burning and is happy it burned.

Varg is faithful to his speech for years and years so his position towards the Notre Dame's fire enters into this anti-Christian logic. He doesn't want to mix the cultural with the cultual. This is a big mistake.
I'm catholic but non-practicing. I'm against any form of indoctrination. If I want to go to a place of worship, I can go to the Basilica of Sainte Anne d 'Auray, the second pilgrimage site in France after Lourdes. I do it once or twice a year depending on my psychological state. If I see too many bigots, I leave right away.
Notre Dame is magnificent as a gothic building and is a jewel of our country.
Overall, his statements are not related by the media. He has his cohorts of fans but doesn't do anything wrong with the Law. He is tolerated here.
However, I enjoy Burzum - Filosofem.

Thanks for replying Tyr, I just find it absurd this guy is happy Notre Dame burnt, I know he's anti-Christian and he burnt down the Churches in his country and he's all about Pagan White Europe and all. But does he realize that White European Men built these beautiful buildings?

This guy is a big time bigot, I'm sure your government has an eye on him, people like him are dangerous, I understand the Muslim issue is a problem in both your country and mine, but I would not go and burn down a mosque because of it, plus his people were converted to Christianity forcibly by one of  his own people King Olaf, not like outside forces went there and started killing people left and right, so I don't know nor understand his hatred for Christians.

Another thing anyone in there right minds knows he killed Euronymous intentionally and he's an un-repented murderer and is proud of it.

I have never been to Europe, but am sure it is beautiful there, I have heard of the Miracles of Lourdes and in Fatima Portugal and respect that, Godspeed in building back Notre Dame.

TYR, I tried listening to Burzum-Filosofem yesterday to see what this guy and his music are like, I’ve heard a lot of praise for Burzum, but I have to say I do not like it, no offense but it just sounds like pure frantic noise to me and he just screams.

So Jack, maybe you can help me with this, how is it people in the comments section of the video are saying it’s such beautiful music? Not even taking what Varg did into consideration, because we all know he did it intentionally, separating the person from the art, the music is still God awful music, the guy doesn’t even growl sing, he literally just screams. How can this be described as beautiful.

Maybe I’m missing something? I don’t even like Mayhem, but it’s better than Burzum.
