Well goddamnit, it's nearly the end of yet another horrid year...when's the last time there was a good year we said goodbye to?
Probably before 1983 as that was the year I was born and by default things could only start to get worse and worse after that horrible point in history.

I could go on and on about some stupid little pandemic but what's the need...all the news and media outlets everywhere have chewed that horse to death gazillion times over.

I could go on and on about how this was the warmest year in recorded history...although the "recorded history" only covers about 150 years or which ofcourse in the grand scale of things in the 4.5 BILLION years of the planet's history ammounts to about the scale of a mosquito fart...but again no need as that has been shoved down all of our throats by every media outlet in the world.

I could go on and on about some never ending elections in the US where one candidate might or might not have won fraudulently or not...but that has been the topic of every news outlet in the world...

I could go on and on about...ah fuck it.

This year simply put just fuckin' sucked.
As did the year before, and the year before...and the year before.
And just as will the year that is next to come...there is no way of changing that...Things just suck plain and simple.


On the positive note, it does however seem that years ahead might not be so plentiful as I have feared as it seems my health is starting to give up bit by bit now more than before. Been having aches and pains in my inner organs I haven't had before...what those issues are I am not sure....nor do I really care. It is what it is...


So Good riddance 2020 you sucked...

January 1st, 2021. I slept in this morning, my wife made pancakes, and we've been doing not much of anything except watching the snow fall and playing with the dogs. Checked in here, and as soon as I'm done posting this going to spin the entirety of Dirt, Silver, & Gold from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band while I reconcile our finances in preparation for tax day four and a half months from now.

Then I'll see if I can shovel some snow or if it's just a six inch brick of ice. It's going to warm up in a couple of days so I'm not too concerned. A pretty lazy day overall.

I do fully understand the people's outrage as well...but sadly this screams more like some third world country action than that of a civilized nation.  Although ofcourse if this would take place in a oh I don't know let's say an African country everyone would be going around raving how the little people go against the "evil" elite and try to fight for their freedom or whatnot...

But still...this kind of action only has downsides...and keeps ripping the country more and more apart...and ofcourse both Trump and Biden will keep fuelling the flames when ever they can. Before this decade is over there might be a civil war in the US...yikes.

No, they don't care. We've had a pipe bomb at the RNC HQ and a woman was shot inside the Capitol, news developing on that story. When the rioters broke into the Capitol, they were grabbing and smashing things. National Guard is being called up to deal with them and tear gas was used to disperse them. This is all over the bullshit allegations that the election was somehow illegitimate. ZERO molehills of fraud, let alone mountains. Sorry, Typhon, but you are completely delusional on that matter, absolutely ignorant of the full range of facts that show we had a free and fair election this past November. What you're saying is flat-out wrong and on the side of insurrectionists. You might as well wave a Confederate flag if you continue with that line of thought. And if you don't want to wave that flag, then drop that thinking, because it's absolutely batshit insane.

This is an eruption of right-wing political violence. It is a putsch, albeit a failed one. I don't cotton to any violence, left or right, and these rioters are absolutely not peaceful. I have friends in DC-area police forces or whose children serve in DC-area police forces, and this activity is absolutely unlawful, disgraceful, and openly rebellious against a lawfully elected government. They are examples of people who failed to persuade the nation at the ballot box, so now they turn to the barrels of their guns for persuasion.

Biden is NOT fuelling the flames, he's calling for calm. It's Trump that stirred them up and Trump's allies that are goading them on. Make no mistake, it is the Trumpist camp that is escalating the violence, the rhetoric, and the evil in this event. They are on the wrong side of history and seem to be prepared to inflict hell upon the nation when they don't get their way.

We got militias forming up outside the Georgia capitol, as well. It's not just in DC, and if the right-wingers don't stand down, they are going to wind up killing soldiers and law enforcement as they then get themselves killed by the same. It's a disgrace.

This is the first time since 1814 that an armed group has breached the Capitol. Fucking disgraceful, that's what this is. There is ZERO justification for this violent assault on the government itself.
