Well good old insomnia has returned again...started last week already...most nights 3 or 4 hours of sleep at most....last night the same...now got a headache from hell to add insult to injury.

These are the times when I wish I'd live in a big city. I could just get out and walk around in a city that never sleeps...and maybe there'd be a blind corner somewhere and car with my name on it coming.

Ah, it's better you not get hit by a car. Would you want to be stuck in a hospital bed and then a wheelchair?

Ah yes...with my luck that would probably be the out come indeed.

Vacation all week for me, going to work on my Cities: Skylines game.

So I've been wondering about something for a few days (and especially nights) now...

With this insomnia thing getting worse and worse here maybe I should put it to use...there is a potential for getting a night job...work hours would be from 1am to 6am roughly... The only catch is that I'd be forced to live an 8 day week then...with 6 nights straight and 2 nights off...so that would kind of mess everything else up a bit but I don't know...

Right now all I know is that this shit ain't working.

I would have 2 questions:

1) How is the pay?
2) Would you be able to quit if this shift was not working out for you?

1. Not very good... 11€ (12$) an hour plus some bonuses.

2. I have no idea...But they do offer the chance to come in as a temp only so you can choose to give it a try for few months.

I'm surprised the money is low.  In the U.S. one usually gets a higher pay for night work.  The "try out" period is a good thing.

Yeah...

They do offer 150% pay for night work in some jobs here too...but not on this one. But it is possible the extras would mount up to roughly 500€ a month...maybe.

I am having problems with earwax buildup. I have to use eardrops and then a waterpik on lowest settings to get things cleared out.

Well job interview tomorrow....my first one ever...damned if I know what to do or say...but honestly I'm not all that stressed about it...if I get it then I get to work nights if I don't then I get to lie in bed awake at nights so...same difference I suppose...

Well that was an interesting experience I suppose...being interviewed by a dude 10 years younger than me... He seemed more nervous than I was...although not sure it was because of the age difference or because he found me utterly dislikeable...either way I found it amusing.

Maybe he was nervous because you had no time. Ties always put interviewers at ease.
