What do you think of this band??? I just recently re-bought

It is a wicked live album and very raw and wild sounding. I owned it years ago but sold it and instantly regretted that.

Charger - are these guys respected in Finland??? I know that they have garnered mixed reactions from the Metal community, but this particular live album is fantastic.

They have a fair fan base here, but I do believe that they are actually more popular abroad than they are here. About 15 years ago they were a bigger deal here too though.

Alexi Laiho has been voted as the best metal guitarist in Finland though.

Musically I've always enjoyed this band but my god Alexi's vocals are horrible...and the screeching growls don't really fit the more traditional heavy metal music. I do believe that if Alexi would have just sang with clear vocals this band could have become even bigger than it did...

Talented bunch of musicians though that's for sure.

Thanks - very interesting. I have a few musician acquaintances that basically said the same thing - great bunch of musicians but horrible vocals. For myself though I am a big Extreme Metal fan as you know so I like many different styles of vocal delivery.

Yeah...but I do ponder if the music is bit too "tame" again for most extreme metal fans....
