Morse's Fret Runs

You know what I'm talking about... Steve Morse is playing some chords and then, out of nowhere,

Booloodooloodoolooboodooloobooloodoolooooo...  :guitar:

He's running up and down that fretboard. Do you love that move, tolerate that move, or cringe when you hear it?

I used to cringe, then I tolerated, now I kinda like it. Not love, but like.  :guitar:

Discuss.

To be honest, he's a bit too wanky for my taste. Clearly of the ilk of guitarists subsequent of what went wrong with Van Halen and Randy Rhoads, which again, to be fair, can be traced back to Blackmore himself, but he was always much more artistic and experimental about it rather than simply up-&-down runs.
But the fact that Satriani stepped in between Blackmore and Morse makes total sence.
Don't get me wrong, objectively and technically a great guitarist. It's just that it gets boring to listen to. For me...
Atleast he's not Steve Vai, though, which is lucky for him... :) Vai shouldn't be allowed to touch a guitar. Ever!
