Bad Calls

Talk about bad calls.  This may be the worst I have ever seen.

Wow.

Just... wow.

Intentional grounding on first down turns into replay of 4th down...

But the worst call was from the league office to get back out there and go through the motions.

These referees did not realize they needed to make the parking lot call - do what you have to do so you can survive the trip to your car in the parking lot. The parking lot call in this case would have been to say boo hoo hoo to the guy that buzzed in on the 4th down and to call intentional grounding on the 1st down. Maybe they'd have been criticized for missing the incompletion, but not for putting events in motion that led to a riot in the stands.

Then he went on to officiate 3 Super Bowls after that...
