Which is why I don't go to Coldplay concerts. My wife means so much to me, I can't play around like that.

 ???  I don't understand the reference.

A cheater was caught in a Coldplay concert when he and his girlfriend were picked up on the jumbo screen being all lovey dovey.

Oh that's right, I'd forgotten about that.  Some big executive of some sort.

That was hilarious. She tried to hide her face and he tried hiding being a chair...all still being shown on the big screen. Singer said, "I hope I didn't cause a problem!" or something like that.

I wonder if those two are still Coldplay fans haha.

Sure hope the British government doesn't trust the Chinese enough to allow this.

Growing up, there was a kid up the street who was a year or two older than me. We ran around every now and then. The last time I talked to him, we were around 17 years old or so.

Fast forward to 1998, and I caught a news item that indicated he had shot a guy in the head and sentenced to 23 years in prison. Story was, he was divorced, his young-ish son split his time between parents, and the son told him that the step-father was molesting him. One day the step-father dropped the son off at the guy's house, and the guy walked out, didn't say a word, and shot the step-father in the head while he sat in his car.

Fast forward to last night, and I caught a news item that he had shot and killed his wife and then himself. It seems he served his sentence in prison, got out, got married, and for reasons I haven't heard yet decided to destroy the woman's life and his own.

It's weird looking back at the time I knew him, and how he was. Trying to see if I can think of anything that his behavior would indicate he could be a killer. And I can't.

^^^^^^
Was it true that the step-father was molesting your friend's son?  If so, I can understand that kill.

Yeah me too...

And then I suppose prison will change a person...and maybe the violence he witnessed or perhaps endured there permanently changed him.

It is a sad story for sure....what ever happened.

I never heard if the son's allegations about molestation were proven or not. However, I do know that the guy's sentence was not life in prison without parole (which he could have received), and can only imagine the judge gave him something of a break because whether true or not, the guy felt they were true.

Just heard the British government will be allowing China to build that proposed mega-embassy in London.  This seems incredibly foolish.   :o

Today marks the 40th anniversary of the most devastating Nuclear Accident in history, The Chernobyl Disaster.

There's a new documentary on National Geographic called Chernobyl: Inside the Meltdown which based on the first two episodes is very interesting. Especially about the massive cover up the Soviets created to try and seal the events from the rest of the world and their own population.

Highly recommend watching that one if you can.

Soviets learned how to cover up nuclear disasters with their weapons project near Chelyabinsk. Admins were promoted based on how well they could keep a lid on the truth.
