A thread for covers, good and bad.

Just stumbled across this, i don't think it's all that bad. I like the Country vibe it's got, but i think it could've been pulled even more towards that direction. Brings out a whole other mood in the tune.

Not butchered as much as completely rearranged it. The whole album was Boone taking what he saw as good songs from the Heavy Metal Songbook and bringing them over to *his* audience, which included lots of people that would break out in a rash at the sight of a Gibson SG. He took a lot of crap for it, but he stood by his choices. Boone said in an interview that we all have to learn to be more tolerant and not to let appearances turn us away from something that is truly of value.

I'm all for rearrengements. They can sometimes work really great...especially doing full metal songs acoustically..that can be really amazing when done well...

This version here however...if Boone got a lot of crap for doing it, that was all well deserved...as it is in a word. HORRIBLE.
