For me, it's 1971, with 1970 and 1972 being close seconds. You've got:

Alice Cooper: Love it to Death and Killer

Yes: Fragile

Jethro Tull: Aqualung

Genesis: Nursery Cryme ( even though the rest of you disagree about the greatness of that one, haha)

Black Sabbath: Master of Reality

I'm sure I'm missing some, but those pack a hell of a whallop!
