Battle Of The Epics pt. 1 The Ozzy Era (Heal & Hurt)

It is time to find out the ULTIMATE Black Sabbath Epic.

This game will go on from the Ozzy era onwards until we have a winners from all eras which we will then put against each other to find out the ultimate Black Sabbath epic song. I have a feeling I know what the winner is gonna be but I'm hoping for a surprise one.

I was thinking about doing this as a poll BUT I think this way we can have a more complete voting process...and this is the way to ensure there will be only ONE song standing at the end and not a tie.

The criteria for an epic song is following: running time approx 7 minutes or more. So please do NOT complain why NIB or Black Sabbath or Iron Man is not on the list. Also I only picked the two longest songs on 13 as otherwise this game would be dominated by that chugger of an album...besides non of those would stand a chance in the end anyways.

The rules are the same as always with Heal and Hurt games. Take two points away from a song and add one point to a song. Only 1 vote per day.

I knew someone would raise things like this up which is WHY I mentioned the criteria for an epic very clearly. Since when is Symptom Of the Universe been a song of 7 minutes? Or even near 7 minutes? It does NOT constitute as epic under the definition I made. I did not want this to have gazillion songs...Epic song is an Epic song not a good or a great song...

If you don't like my criteria or this vote no one is forcing you to vote here then...move along then...You're not gonna force me take this one down too!

Well I didn't actually read through your criteria which was an oversight on my behalf otherwise I wouldn't have(jokingly btw) brought it up so I apologise for that.
Anyway, if your criteria for an epic is seven minutes long or longer it will make the Dio era very light on for voting not to mention the other era's? I very much consider Falling Off The Edge Of The World an epic song but it doesn't clock in not even close to seven minutes so that obviously rules that out along with everything else besides TSOTSC and maybe one or two from the the other era's...Just sayin!

Also, I never forced you to close the Judas Priest H&H game down, you forced yourself to shut it down(only after you insulted me) because you couldn't handle Jugulator being hurt

Yes the criteria for the other eras might need to change a bit...perhaps bring the length down to 6 minutes...but no ammount of criteria change will make Falling Off The Edge Of The World an epic song though for that it is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too short. Epical yes EPIC no.

But with the Ozzy era there are enough Epics for this criteria.

And as far as the JP one goes you were the one that stated after two voters that it was going to shit (or something along those lines) and rightaway started attacking my choice so yeah it was needed to be taken down as I knew it was gonna get ugly...probably just because it was MY H&H game...same as is happening here now.

If there is no interest in this game in general level I'll take it down and make sure I won't ever make another one...or take part in any of them again if they only cause trouble. I am willing to take a step back from the forum activities if that will help keep the peace as it might be clear that my presense is still a bit of an annoyance especially for you Jack.

I think it’s a bit of a mountain out of a molehill to be honest.

As for the JP game. I only mentioned that I can see
it being arse up as in the results being upside down after Kilo hurt Screaming for Vengeance straight up.

I think it’s generally considered to be one of Priest’s best albums but was in danger of being killed off first or at the least killed very early on which is how
my original comment of the game being “arse up” came about.
I’ve since learnt from the 1982 poll that Kilo actually despises that album so I can see where he was coming from  now
I had already played my vote before that went down and had hurt Jugulator which should’ve been no surprise to you as I’ve always said the ripper albums are my least favourite. Was nothing personal towards you or your choices but you got personal towards me by calling me an idiot for hurting Jugulator. I then let you know respectfully it was a bit uncalled for.

It seems that I might have misunderstood a little bit then ...as it seemed that you were saying the whole H&H game with priest was arse up....and ofcourse since it was my game the underlying message was evident.

Looking at my track record with these games I now firmly believe I should not make these anymore...


Also like said if this is indeed a stupid idea for a game it can be taken down as well.

I am sorry for the trouble I have managed to cause again...but considering the sorry excuse for a human that I am it's not really a surprise...to anyone. Maybe I should take a step back from this place for a bit for everyone's sake.
