Time for the Deep Purple H/H battle... this one takes a little thinking to put together because of the multiple lineups with radically different sounds as well as the fact that one lineup did a reunion with a much different sound from when it was first together. One drummer, two keyboardists, three guitarists, three bass players, and five vocalists, all on 20 studio albums.

There does not seem to be a good way to split up the albums, either. Maybe five of them were real stinkers, but they can just be the ones to go out early and to shore up points for what we as a group think are the best albums.

But DP has also had a massive live reputation, so I'll also have a section for voting which incarnation of the band was best live. I'll toss in the 1980 fake reunion, because it's so absolutely bad, compared to their other output. It's really a standard by which all other bad concerts should be judged.
