Interesting stat, this will be the first World Cup where the Semi-Finals won't include at least one of: Brazil, Argentina or Germany.

It's so open now, I wouldn't like to call it.

Too tired to stay up and watch it but I'm happy chappy this morning.

Glad I had a saver on France though as it means at least one of my teams will make it through to the final although Belgium was my original tip and is a much better result for me $

Just a pity Belgium and France have to meet in the SF, Those two are such deserving of the final. Can't see anyone from the other side of the draw beating either of them though.

England should be too good for Sweden tonight and likewise
Croatia over Russia. ..I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia win though.

Don’t underestimate the power of the home crowd/country  - aka The 12th man.

On paper England should beat Sweden and Croatia should beat Russia... look for a Sweden / Russia semi final!

Oh man....

Sweden vs England...Everyone should already know how Sweden plays...nothing but defence and then get one lucky goal in and win the game....that's been the formula all along so England will have a hard time breaking the swedish dumb luck...I am rather certain that this will go 0-0...up until that point the swedes get that lucky shot...but I'm still rooting for England because they deserve to win!

Russia vs Croatia...I wrote Russia out but Spain's bad luck kept them in the games...This could very well be another tie after 90 minutes as well but I'm rooting for Croatia

It started slowly, both teams were nervous to start with. England have settled better and if Sterling had a bit more control when 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper we might have been 3-0 up! I think we needed another as we always conceed!

Great shot from Cheryshev takes Russia to the lead...Croatia's got a mountain to climb now if Russia's gonna kill the game like they did with Spain...

Wow, what a finish to the game... and now we have some great teams for the semifinals. Belgium, England, France, and Croatia in the top four looks good to me.
