The Man Who Sold the World by David Bowie because help/hurt game.

Let me know what you think. Most def. his most Hard Rock album, due to most of the music being written/jammed out by Mick Ronson and Tony Visconti. If the album cover hadn't been too controversial for the American market, this album could've put him up there along Zeppelin and Sabbath, pre Ziggy Stardust.

To be honest, I didn't really get into it... but it did confirm to me that it's not just the stuff from when he was popular that I didn't get into, it's also the stuff of his that I hadn't heard before. Same thing happened to me after I finally listened to Ziggy Stardust.

On the other hand, Home by Procol Harum is growing on me. This is more to my liking, that's for sure. Up to "Still There'll Be More" and really liking that track especially.

The thing with Bowie is even his most accessible albums might require multiple listens before you "get it". And even though you still can't get into some of his albums, don't rule the others out, 'cause not one album is the same, he've really done everything. He got the name "the chameleon of Rock" for a reason. I would recommend his eponymous debut (not to be confused with his eponymous second album, aka Space Oddity, which is also great), psychedelic Music Hall reminiscent of Syd Barret Pink Floyd, and later albums like 'hours...' and Heathen, which crosses all genres. Others would say "no, not those albums, you should check out (...) instead". Do yourself the favour and explore the world of Bowie more, and give him time to sink in. You WILL thank me later... ;-)
