Massive Dio era Sabbath day. Listened to TDYK twice then Dehumanizer and finished off with Neon Nights(Live At Wacken full album)

Been on a Dio kick this last week, both solo and with Sabbath but I thought I’d put on Born Again today straight after listening to Mob Rules in readiness for the song by song thread and good lord, what a painful isten it was after being thoroughly inspired and entertained by Dio and Dio Sabbath all week.

How does a band go from a such masterful album in Mob Rules to such poop by comparison as Born Again?

The mix is awful, to be sure. But there's also the matter of style:
