Which makes Argentina the Sweden of South America, when you think about it... Uruguay would be the Denmark of South America... No idea which country would be the Finland of South America, maybe Paraguay? They got their own crazy language there...

Chile is like the Norway of South America.

How/Why? I'm intrigued.

I've always thought Canadians and New Zealanders are pretty similar to Norwegians. Seemingly the same kinda down-to-earth mentality, and the "little brother" complex towards Sweden, U.S., and Australia respectively. Also, with Canada you got the same forestry and hunter-history, whereas with New Zealand the agricultural approach is more or less the same.

Chile is like Norway because...

It is a long, thin nation.

Lots of mountains, particularly between its neighbor.

Sort of a cultural rivalry between them and their neighbor on the other side of the mountains.

They've got a better sense of humor than the guys on the other side of the mountains.

There are extremely arctic parts of each country, but also parts with gorgeous forests and fjords.

The colder one is in each of those nations, the more likely one is to encounter the land's indigenous peoples.

Both nations have flags with blue, white, and red on them... and their neighbors have flags with blue and yellow!

And they were all pretty right. If you take the one about cultural rivalry with a grain of salt, though. Rivalry, yes, but not so much culturaly, that's basically the same in both countries up here.
And the mountains go straight through Norway, the border is all forest.

Probably all true.  However, these facts are not fun.  Each year more animals become extinct or placed on the endangered species list because of the behavior of the smartest animal on the planet.

Thank you both.  But if one were to examine what happens here using long hand multiplication, it could be easily seen why the answer is 12345678987654321.  You would probably have to think back to your childhood to remember long hand, so here is an example:

Let's say you wanted to multiply 234 and 111.  In long hand you would multiply the first number by each digit of the second number and place the result underneath, while sliding the result 1 decimal place left for each 2nd number digit, then add it all up.  So in long hand, the problem would look like this:

       25974

So now let's do long hand for my problem:

It should be obvious why this was the answer.  Sometimes the loss of old methods can also lose the beauty in numbers.
