According to Loudwire The Wizard would be inspired by Lord Of The Rings and Gandalf...which I have never even considered and am a bit sceptical about...

I've heard it before, but only as inspired by. Not the same as being about, there's nothing in the lyrics to suggest so (like f.ex those two lines in Zeppelins Ramble On). LOTR was kinda cool for a while there, before it became a geek thing... :P

Well, Ozzy still needs one in a string as a pet, apparently... :) Other than that i agree. It's really only after i hit 30 i started buying real winter shoes, before that i was always walking around in cloth sneakers full of holes. Not the best footwear for a cold and wet Norwegian winter. But affording hash and booze was more importaint... :)

Kinda remind me of a story the guitarist in Junipher Greene told about when they were touring with Prudence in the early 70's, their bus had broken down, their gear had been pawned or taken by the treasurer, but still they could suddenly pop up with four cases of beer going "it's party-time". It's important to keep your values straight.  :cheers:

Elric of Melniboné is a fictional character created by Michael Moorcock and the protagonist of a series of sword and sorcery stories taking place on an alternate Earth. The proper name and title of the character is Elric VIII, 428th Emperor of Melniboné. Later stories by Moorcock marked Elric as a facet of the Eternal Champion.

Elric first appeared in print in Moorcock's novella "The Dreaming City" (Science Fantasy No. 47, June 1961). Moorcock's doomed albino antihero is one of the better known in fantasy literature, having crossed over into a wide variety of media, such as role-playing games, comics, music, and film. The stories have been continuously in print since the 1970s.
