Happy Independence Day, my fellow Americans!

I used to email the full text of the Declaration of Independence to co-workers this time of year, but since I have none, that tradition is history. Instead, I will whole-heartedly recommend anyone willing to read more than 50 words at a time go find a copy of Alexis De Toqueville's "Democracy in America" and read the heck out of it.

The full text is online in various places, it was written in 1836, so has been public domain for ages. Excellent book.

It was cool - and I read today that ther eis a strong push in certain circles to start using drones as part of 911 emergency call responses. I can see how that could be a massive help in some cases.
