Of all the folks in Metallica at that time, I'd have to say he had the most creative juice flowing. I'm happy I got to see him perform on stage, I'm sad he was gone shortly thereafter.

You’re a lucky man having seen Cliff and Metallica live back then Vyn. Was it opening for Ozzy?

They didn’t tour Australia until 1989 so that was the first time I saw them.

My wife says Happy Birthday, as well...Here's a story for you, me talking to my wife:

Me: "There's a guy on the community forum that has the same birthday as Tony Iommi."

Wife: "That message board with the Black Sabbath weirdos, right?"

Me: "..."

Wife: "So, two people share the same birthday - it happens."

Me: "Yeah, but it's Tony Iommi."

Wife: "..."

Me: "Guitarist for Black Sabbath"

Wife: "He's on that message board?"

Me: "No, the other guy is."

Wife: "Whose he?"

Me: "He goes by KiloDeltaCharlie"

Wife: "Have I met him?"

Me: "No, I haven't either, he lives in England and posts on that forum."

Wife: "Oh, I see. Well, wish him a happy birthday for me!"
