This forum software does not show birthdays at all...

SO:
This thread started in another place but was put on this place because some of us got funny...like some of us do occationally...me not so much but the other guys.

Anyways. This can now be a thread about BIRTHDAYS!

So if you have a birthday Or know someone who has a birthday say it here so we can all celebrate! Or not....

Turned on the "Calendar" feature and it made the menu bar span to a second line...

We may need an SMF mod to show them in the user info that shows up with each post, if you want that.

That would suit me. I prefer to not observe my birthday publicly. If I'm going to be congratulated, I'd prefer it not be for simply having my molecules go around the sun one more time. Most of my molecules have been doing that for billions of years, either as molecules or as component atoms, either free-flying or inside other molecules.

What's fascinating to contemplate is how our component atoms combine, move, enter, and exit our bodies. If we take a view that all matter is conserved, then time travel is impossible - there will always be an atom that is part of me now that was not part of me an instant before now. That atom cannot be in two places at the same time. The paradox of "don't meet yourself" often used in time-travel tales simply doesn't go far enough. This goes down to an atomic - even subatomic level.
