A big Happy Birthday to Nick Sandman.  He's the 17 year old kid who was vilified by the Washington Post without finding out any facts first.  Sandman's parents then sued the Post for 250 million dollars.  Well a couple of days ago, on the kid's 18th birthday, the case was settled for an undisclosed amount.  Congratulations Nick!

Politics is a mofo. Sussing out truth from the multiform channels of communication blasting 24/7 is difficult enough, without having people who have developed a blind-spot from staring at their own agenda for so long, creating a narrative of bullshit simply to move that agenda along.

It's like their moral compasses all get out of whack, and the careful presentation of the truth turns into the careful presentation of a made-up story.

Nick got hosed by people who lack care, concern, and basic god-damned human decency. Glad he he got some bucks. Too bad it won't actually change the way people behave to one another in the slightest.
