Hard to believe he is 64. Always thought he was much younger than the other guys as he looked much younger when he joined, but they're not that far apart. I thought he'd be in his late 50's at the most.

Yeah...I remember when I first got into Deep Purple back in the late 90s Steve looked so young...but I guess he had just aged well! :D

But 50+ years of playing guitar in his very unique style sadly has taken it's toll as his right hand has gotten in a really bad shape...so he has to wear that brace all the time now. If I recall it's his wrist..lost all the cartilage or something...can't really remember, but I do remember him saying that it really really hurts when he plays..but he loves it so much that he just doesn't want to stop but soon he might have to... :(

Re: my age... If you check out my videos, you'll see me as old as I am, looking how I do. I smile a lot, keep hydrated, and don't do meth or heroin, so that helps in maintaining my appearance.

And that part about hand pain, I get that as well. Maybe we need a thread on dealing with old age. :)
