A thread on BSO has alerted me for a few days to the fact that Ozzy has not been heard or seen directly since February 8th. He has been hospitalized with flu complications. Since this announcement, only official announcements via his management or his wife came to give news. Sharon also took the opportunity to insult Bob Daisley once again.
Is it normal or disturbing?

I've thought a bit about Ozzy the last few months. The fact that not even a picture has surfaced of him since his recent health issues has had me worried that me might not be in a good way.

I didn't think he was still in hospital though. Maybe I've got my timelines mixed up but wasn't he discharged after his flu complications and then had a fall at home which dislodged some metal rods in his body from his quad bike accident back in the early 2000's?

I know his social media has still been active but I think we all know it's not him that actually posts on there.

As for Sharon I think she was asked a question about Bob and merely responded.

I don't remember if there has been such a long silence in the past.
However, I think that, despite some personal tensions with Ozzy, I can't imagine Bill not being aware of his situation and posting a public message about his agreement to play with the 3 others once again ...

I don't think Ozzy does a whole lot of personal press anyways...unless he is on tour or about to release an album.

But yeah it's been a while, but I wouldn't get too worried about it.

That being said, IF there has been some more complications with Ozzy, unless it's something really serious I would imagine they might keep quiet about that too though.

Well Ozzy has finally given an interview about his pneumonia and accident and everything that happened since:

Looks like it was a whole lot worse than what was originally reported (surprise surprise) and he has a long recovery ahead. Honestly I'd be very surprised if he did NOT cancel (or atleast postpone) the January Tour.

Shit man. I didn't think he was in a good way but not to the extent that's laid out in that interview. He's so lucky he's alive and now on the road to recovery, albiet it doesn't sound like he'll ever be back to anywhere near 100% again and possibly never be able to perform again.

Having experienced severe back pain myself, I can imagine the turmoil Ozzy is dealing with.  But my discomfort only lasts 3 or 4 days.  So this must be 10 time worse.  If I were Ozzy, I would certainly retire.  But if anyone can come back from this, it's the Ozzman.

I've got issues with my balance, so I stay mindful to always have a clear path in my bedroom and plenty of hand-holds in the house. If I go somewhere I haven't prepped, I walk with my cane. I feel for Ozzy's fall, I know exactly what that's like, and it's just horrible to go through.

And then, after 70, that's pretty much when the warranty expires and things start to fall apart with increasing regularity. Got to be VERY careful if you want to have a soft landing at the end.

I don't think the price is too bad considering the content. The 16 vinyls alone would add up to $500, then you get everything else inc and its limited & signed.
