This much I know... if you really want to do something, you practice and fail and move from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. I wanted to draw more than I wanted to play the electric guitar, which is why I don't play guitar...

Here's one I did of Blackmore:

This Tufted Titmouse spotted me taking his picture and posed nicely.

I love it! Best way to take a picture of wildlife is to make sure that eye is in focus. Everything else follows from there.

My mom likes Chickens and once did a painting of a Zig-Zag guy back in the 60s that hung in my house. So I did this for her as an homage:

It was very difficult to get this shot of a Cardinal, as they are the most skittish of birds.

I love cardinals! I get a mating pair in my yard each spring because I have berry trees.

No magpies in the lens? I love this black and white creature. Very often in a couple and so exciting to watch.

Magpies are in the western half of the U.S., I am in the Eastern half.  All pics I took on my property.

Each summer the Yellow Oriole makes his appearance.

I've got two magpies jumping around in my yard all the time...they are building a nest somewhere near by...

I might try and take a pic of them the next time I see 'em.

Love seeing pics of these exotic birds....

This is from a photo I took. I was going to take a picture of a friend, the guy on the left, but just as I snapped it, the lady on the left decided it was time to give him a kiss.

Photography can be like gambling. Sometimes, you hit the jackpot.

An old friend who passed on, but not before he had me make a drawing of his favorite picture...



That's him and his wife, I was able to finish it a few months before she passed away because of cancer. He passed on about 2 years later, after he was able to check off a few bucket list items, including a road trip across Texas and a balloon flight in Albuquerque. I got to ride with him on both of those, great memories of both.

Here's another species of Hawk I spotted in the treetops.  Look like a big male.
