I'm up to episode 4 and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Finished all episodes . I'm serioulsy hooked now ! great final episode.
Season 2 is ready and Season 3 is officially announced ! Awesome .

For some reason not all episodes are released yet in the UK. Episode 7 came out today (no point tryig to watch it until later tonight) and episode 8 next Friday!

I've really enjoyed the series so far, I hope Seasons 2 / 3 are equally as good. Show runner Jon Favreau is on one heck of a hot streak at the moment.

I was very happy with how the writers for Star Trek are now able to explore more human failings than before. Drug addiction, family breakup, real things like that get into the plot of this series

Maybe we have been watching a different show but Star Trek has dealt with those two specific issues and plenty of "real things"!!!

Indeed! That was the whole premise of the Original Series. It took current events and troubles of the 60s and put them in an outer space future environment.

Well, not drug addiction. When Harlan Ellison submitted his script "All Our Tomorrows", he had a drug dealer subplot that Roddenberry converted into McCoy having an accidental overdose. Roddenberry had a firm vision of his future and that simply wasn't in it, at least not on a Star Fleet vessel.

You implied that Star Trek has not dealt with drug addiction until Picard. What about the The Jem'Hadar from Deep Space Nine? Or the early TNG episode with the one planet addicted to a drug that they think cures them from a disease that they get from the other drug dealing planet? Sorry but I cannot remember the episode name at the moment.

The episode was called Symbiosis the 21st show of TNG.

DS9 would be post-Roddenberry, but I think the 21st show would be when Roddenberry was at the helm of TNG... I'd be guessing his motives, but that guess would be that with the drugs *off* the Enterprise, he could let that pass.

Season 11 - not very good so far. It would seem to me that the actors/actresses do not want to be there. I have heard horrible things about this last season but I hope that it gets better. It sure as hell cannot get any worse!!

Just bought the first 4 seasons of the incredible THE BLACKLIST!

Been watching season 1 now. It only aired for 2 seasons here many years ago so this is a real treat and the show is just FANTASTIC!
