25 Years ago today the world lost one of it's greatest guitar talents when Criss Oliva passed away in a car accident.

There has never been anyone quite like him, before or after...the sheer passion, love, energy and power that he shows with every single note he plays is uncanny.

You are eternally missed mr. Oliva but never forgotten as your music lives on...

I first heard this song when my mom brought home a Clancy Brothers record and played it over and over. One of the first songs I ever learned the lyrics to.

That verse about the cavalry and infantry was my favorite, although I always wondered if the woman that betrayed him was his wife or a lady he had on the side. And, yes, I wondered that when I was really young, before I even understood *why* a guy would want the company of women in particular...
