T20 World Cup has started. You partaking Kilo?

Aussies have a strong team on paper but there T20 form in the last couple of years has been rubbish. India looks the team to beat and England will be thereabouts. New Zealand are always competitive and the West Indies can be dangerous. Can’t see anyone else outside those teams winning it.

I'll be following it for sure. Can't argue with your analysis but the Aussies must surely raise there game for a tournament like this! Quite surprised to see that Sri Lanka had to qualify, in the past they've had a pretty good one-day team. Also surprised to see that Namibia beat Ireland to grab the last qualifying spot... but that's the nature of the T20 game upsets can happen.

This will go on for a few weeks so I'll raise a new thread for it.

The Australian cricket team is now in Pakistan for its first tour of the country in 24 years. A three match test series, three one day internationals and a Twenty20 match. Security is like no sporting team has ever had.

I hadn't realised Pakistan were allowed to play home matches again? But yes, security is likely to be tight.

Australia are like the Guinea Pigs for other Nations to tour there in the future. New Zealand was suppose to tour their last year but pulled out on the morning of their first match after the team received death threats, England then subsequently pulled out of their tour that was to be a couple of months later. The Australian team have reportedly received death threats as well but the anti terrorism experts are putting down to false threats from Indians trying to derail Pakistans chances of getting to play games in their home country again against the big Test playing nations.

Have to say the pitches over there are living up their reputations of being roads. Pakistan batted first and declared at 476/4, Australia are currently 271/2 at stumps on Day 3
