Barring a big collapse I think you've got this one in the bag Kilo. Providing Australia beats South Africa in the last game, an England v Australia final is very much on the cards.

They've made a great start today, hopefully they won't have that collapse!

New Zealand fought back really well. What was looking at big total of 380 + only ended up at 305. Nervous time ahead for England. I do think 305 runs on the board is going to be hard to chase down particularly on a slowing wicket but it is still very gettable and the Kiwis can play with a free spirit knowing they are pretty much through to the last 4.

Yes, not a great total in the end should have been a few more than 305. I note that the middle order "big hitters" underperformed. But New Zealand struggled to score in their last match so here's hoping they continue that form!

Phew! England qualify for the semi-finals! New Zealand never got going in their reply and it was a comfortable win in the end.

NZ batting has been shitful the last few games. The wash out the Pakis had with Sri Lanka has really hurt them in the end. Too big a gap in the NRR to overtake NZ.

Hopefully the Aussies get the job done on SA later today so they get to play NZ in the semi. Otherwise England it is...

I can't see the Aussies losing to South Africa (on Saturday!), SA have been woeful this world cup, but then again everyone can have a good / bad day.

That's a shame... South Africa had that good day and finally got their act together in their last game! Taking a 10 run win over Australia.

With India also winning today it means they take the top spot pushing Australia into second place. That means the semi-finals are India vs New Zealand and Australia vs England, I was hoping we'd meet Australia in the final instead! I suppose we'll meet India in the final instead! :P ;)

I actually think you're right Kilo. Australia blew it today. Our middle order besides wicket keeper Alex Carey have struggled all tournament and the bowling has been average when not having the conditions to suit.

England is going a have amazing support in the SF and I think they'll win and play India in the final.

I wouldn't be so quick with the defeatist attitude Jack, the Aussies have already beaten England once in this tournament. I think it has the potential to be one of the great games if both teams bring their A Game, neither team did that in the group stage meeting between the two.

Australia has picked up a few injuries so potentially they're bringing in players that haven't yet played in this World Cup. Batting lineup has been enigmatic outside of a good partnership in each match. England has had their little blip and gotten over the hurdle of qualifying for the last four. Their confidence is high. They've been the best one day team in the last 18 months and set themselves for this World Cup 4 years ago.

A couple of things Australia has in their favour is that they are battle hardened and have a great record in World Cup semi finals.

I'm following the score, looks very difficult for India to win at 114-6 needing 126 from 16 overs; it's doable but they might run out of wickets.

It's not the match when you want your batting stars to flop!

India got closer than I thought they would, but in the end ran out of wickets.

As you say Jack, and with no disrespect to New Zealand; but the eventual winners of the Cricket World Cup will most likely come from tomorrows semi-final.
