Got our first snow here in SW Connecticut, about 3"... 7.5cm. but at this time it's a frozen mix and will warm up and rain tomorrow, uh today.

-4C (25F) here and about an inch or so snow on the ground...Not horrible for the time of year...but could be warmer.

Tomorrow is the shortest day of the year... Sun rises around 9:35am and sets around 3:15pm.

We have been having a very mild winter so far. That being said there was a wicked wind storm last week that caused a lot of damage and left many here on the island without power.

It has only gone to 1 degrees Celsius which is unusual for my area as usually it goes down to minus 5 or so.

We've got a huuuge storm coming in the morning...up on the northern sea areas around Finland we've already had 34m/s gusts (that's 76mph) which is quite unusual for these parts.

It should reach the south west part where I live early morning with potential land gusts of 25m/s (56mph)...which is huge. That's major damage around these parts...and adding the snowfall to that...it's gonna be an interesting morning for sure.

Wild weather here in Sydney the past couple of weeks. Gone from massive storms (hailstones the size of golf balls!) to extreme heatwaves. That's Australian summer for you.
