RIGHT ON! The Funk/Soul Thread

I consider the golden age of funk and soul to be 1960-1980. Before, soul music was formative, still finding its way between Rock and Roll and Gospel. After, Disco, Rap, and synthesizers changed that analog magic of the classic sound.

It's good to see bands coming back to the formula that made for some great, energetic, muscular, living music back in the day, so I hope those of us that like the genre will include what we like from the old and what we like from the new.

I'm going to kick off stuff from the old. Clarence Wheeler and the Enforcers gettin' down with a stone groove on "Right On"...
