No I go to two different Record/CD stores and also Wal Mart and a Pharmacy that also sells Records/CDs. I also go to a half dozen different thrift store that sometimes have unbelievable scores of great Records/CDs for about one to two dollars.
In the summer I also go to Garage Sales and Farmers Markets and have found some real gems at both.

Someday they've got to do a piece about you on 60 Minutes.  If Mike Wallace was alive, I could hear him saying in the intro, "He owns the largest music collection in North America, and perhaps, the world.  He's not a tycoon, or a CEO.  By a young man living in a small apartment in Canada... "   :)

Nice memories of childhood :)

I only paid 2 bucks for it at a thrift store. When I saw it and checked the disc and it was in perfect shape I knew I had to pick it up.

Ofcourse, as long as one's still collecting CD's it's an obvious choise.

Made me re-check BulletBoys - Rock Candy. Pretty heavy riffing and groovy drumming for guys coming out of the Glam scene.
And it was my first meeting with (and even understanding of an existence of) a non-Ozzy Sabbath. Got this later than released, so i was already acquaint with Nativity In Black first, and then quickly after the true Sabbath. Always preferred this version of Time Machine from the album version.
Come to think about it, i saw the movie before i heard "NIB", so those short seconds of the riff in the T1000-scene was actually (unbeknownst) my first meeting with Sabbath ever.

Thank you Charg!!

I wish I had more but I have budgeted about 50 dollars a week to CDs. A lot of what I buy are discount or second hand albums from both the record stores  and thrift stores I frequent. I also spend about 50 to 60 on paydays - if any of the special orders I have made come in.

Believe it or not I live on a disability pensioon and I really do not get enough to validate my spending habits in regards to my music collection.
...but-----
In my lonely existence music keeps me alive and is the only thing that really brings me happiness anymore.

So I sometimes go hungry to pick up an album. I do a lot of leg work in my search for the best prices though. And there are times when going to the thrift stores around town can really pay off. I have gotten some really great deals there.

Well looks like we use music for the same reason then.... :)

50$ a week for music is a lot though but super cool. There are no more second hand music stores around here sadly...it's all gone online now. I think I'd probably still buy a lot more stuff if the second hand store would still be in my small town that was here when I was a kid....So now I buy pretty much all my stuff new...part from something that I really want that's out of print...then I have to search high and low and sometimes pay big bucks for it too...

I have also taken money that I should have used for "more pressing matters" and bought albums....it happens! :D
